MAR 2025 – OLIVE LANE NOW OPEN FOR BUSINESS!
We are delighted to confirm that Olive Lane will be open to the community at Waverley from Friday 14th March.
Tesco will open on this day, and other businesses will begin fitting out their units ahead of opening in the coming months.
The opening of Olive Lane is a significant milestone for Waverley, and we are very proud to have delivered this space for the community. We’re looking forward to seeing those living and working here coming together and making use of the new amenities.
As we shared in our last update, Specsavers, Karobar Indian restaurant, Hall Court Vets and Little Olives Nursery will be opening at Olive Lane. Waverley Community Council will be moving into the new community centre which will be used as its base, and the GP practice will be open to residents in the coming months.
While there is still work to be done by occupiers in preparation of their opening, Harworth has taken the decision to open the new high street now so that residents can visit the new Tesco and enjoy the new outdoor spaces that have been created.
As residents will be aware, we are also creating a new car park at Olive Lane. This, along with the vehicle access from Stephenson Way (via Sunny Lane), will not initially be open for use by the community and will be used solely by the businesses fitting out their units to cause as little disruption to local residents as possible.
We will be opening both the car park and vehicle access to residents in the coming months and will keep the community updated on timings for this. Until then, the contractors parking and access road shown on the attached plan will remain closed to the public.
We’re also in discussion with potential occupiers for the remaining commercial units and will update the community once these are confirmed.
